Festive Focus: Our conversation with Lisa Walker of White Apple Thinking
Can you introduce yourself to our readers?
“My business, White Apple Thinking, works mainly with business women but also with men. I help them to gain more clarity in their personal and business lives and become more confident.
“This helps them to be more successful in their career or business.”
What was your company’s biggest achievement of the year?
“2018 has been a great year. I have continued to work with some amazing clients on a 1:1 basis and deliver my workshops to new and old clients alike.
“My biggest achievement would have to be working with a number of senior managers and directors as part of a large organisational development plan.
“Using my coaching skills, my people knowledge and previous HR experience I have found the challenge interesting and so rewarding. Witnessing the positive changes in individuals I work with is fabulous, seeing it in a whole term and their impact on the business is even more so.
“The ripple effect of personal growth is never-ending.”
How would you approach 2018 differently, given the chance?
“If I was to live 2018 again I wouldn’t change a thing in the business. But on a personal level I would have taken a holiday early in the year.
“Holidays are an important time to relax and recharge, vital when you run your own business. I got that right from mid-year and will definitely be taking that into 2019.”
What are your company’s plans for the new year?
“I have a new, free workshop in January. Delivered in Sheffield it will be open to women that are looking to get more from their new year.
“It will be a morning of interactive learning, lots of tips and ideas on how to get more from life and business without actually doing more. This will be followed in March with a full day conference for professional women on how to ‘Live Your Best Life & Business’.
“The conference will be a place that women can come and learn how to live with purpose and passion complete with keynote speakers, workshops, a q&a panel and an emphasis on wellbeing.”
What’s your favourite Christmas song?
