Teletext Holidays Help the Homeless
Christmas has come early for the homeless in Camden, after members of the Teletext Holidays team donated much-valued resources and time to a community outreach programme.
The cohort of dedicated volunteers from the leading travel brand came together in aid of the vulnerable with the Refugee Community Kitchen (RCK), a charitable organisation which serves hot, nourishing meals to displaced people in the UK and abroad.
With the number of people sleeping rough on the rise and the temperature dropping, the Teletext team cooked-up a substantial batch of nutritious meals to provide warmth and comfort to those in need. With the hot food ready to go, the volunteers hit the busy streets of London feeding over 70 people.
Wayne Perks, Managing Director at Teletext Holidays commented: “We were delighted to be able to offer our support to the outreach programme and to give something back to our community, especially at this time of year.”
