New Sheffield firm promises to shake up Yorkshire’s professional services market
A business has launched in Sheffield with the aim of shaking up Yorkshire’s professional services market.
The new firm, 7 Legal and Finance, will offer offer clients both legal and financial advice under a single ‘complete solution’.
Its founders, Jeremy Bennett, Samantha Sellars and Chris Sellars, have independently provided advice to business owners in the region for years.
Joining forces with their new venture, the trio will offer services including corporate sales and purchases, business restructuring and turnaround, commercial property transactions, litigation matters and funding support.
Jeremy is a lawyer with more than 25 years’ experience across several national law practices.
He said: “We’re all trusted advisors to our clients across a broad range of projects.
“Bringing together the breadth of our skills, qualifications and experience in one complete solution will ensure clients benefit from streamlined processes and easier communication.”
Chartered accountant Chris Sellars, whose commercial experience includes alternative finance options, commented: “As a team, we feel the professional services market is ready for disruption and innovation.
“We believe that our alternative business structure will offer an innovative, cost-effective and transparent service for clients.”
One of 7 Legal and Finance’s first actions was the acquisition of Mackenzie Spencer Corporate Finance – a deal that brought corporate finance skills and new team members to the business.
Commercial solicitor Samantha Sellars said: “The launch of 7 Legal and Finance is exciting. We are already recruiting to build the team and are currently in negotiations to open offices in Sheffield city centre and look forward to making an announcement about both very soon.”
