Apothecary concept to bring touch of Bali to West London
A new apothecary concept is looking to bring a touch of Bali to West London.
The Natural Health Apothecary will offer herbal products made to order and consultations on various areas of natural health, as well as classes in meditation, breathwork and ‘pranayama’, a type of controlled breathing technique.
The venue, opening next week, will be operated by Zen Maitri – a collaboration between Indonesian wellness resort Zen Resort Bali and Maitri Health, a natural health store based in Streatham, South London.
Both businesses have more than 30 years’ experience in their respective fields.
The Natural Health Apothecary, based at 39 Turnham Green Terrace in Chiswick, will feature Balinese-furnished retail space and an apothecary upstairs, where customers can consult with Zen Maitri’s herbalists and nutritionist.
The downstairs area will house a studio for consultations and guided sessions.
Pharmacist Krishan Dhokia, co-founder of Zen Maitri, said: “We strive to ground each of our products with science.
“Zen Maitri calls upon years of accumulated experience and expertise to recommend the best combination of products and treatments to our clients.”
He added: “We want to embrace the merits of traditional approaches to wellness alongside modern medicine.”
Commenting on the store’s location, Krishan said: “Turnham Green Terrace was an obvious choice because of its status as a hub for independent, community-aligned businesses.
“We can’t wait to serve the Chiswick community by delivering the highest quality customer service alongside our transformative approach to health and wellbeing.”
The Natural Health Apothecary will open on Monday, January 14.
