Heathcotes Group becomes a Chesterfield Champion
Chesterfield-based care provider, Heathcotes Group, is backing a campaign to support the development of the local economy after joining the Chesterfield Champions network.
Comprising a variety of businesses and organisations, Chesterfield Champions have a shared commitment to advocate the town as a desirable place to live, do business, invest and visit. The scheme is part of a wider project, Destination Chesterfield, which is helping to improve the economic prosperity of Chesterfield by promoting it as a contemporary destination to inward investors. Funded through support from local businesses and Chesterfield Borough Council, Destination Chesterfield coordinates initiatives to raise the town’s profile and highlight all that is good about the area.
Formed in Chesterfield in 2004, Heathcotes Group has become the latest member of the Chesterfield Champions scheme and the company has been a significant contributor to local employment through an award-winning apprenticeship programme developed in partnership with Chesterfield College. Heathcotes Group is one of the UK’s most experienced providers of specialist person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, mental illness and associated challenging behaviours.
Dominic Stevens, Destination Chesterfield Manager said:
“I am delighted to welcome Heathcotes on board with our ever growing network of Chesterfield Champions. It is great to see another of the town’s employers not only invested in the success of their own business but also actively involved in helping Chesterfield reach its potential. Together the Champions network has achieved so much in helping the town become a great place to not only live and work but also invest. Heathcotes not only waves the flag for Chesterfield locally but also nationally as a UK-wide employer and operator.”
Heathcotes Managing Director, Brendan Kelly, said:
“With firm roots in Chesterfield, including two directors who were born and bred in the area, Heathcotes Group is a passionate advocate of the town and we are delighted to become a Chesterfield Champion. The company sponsors Chesterfield Inspire Blues Ladies Football Club and is strengthening its commitment to the area with a number of exciting projects coming soon. Over the past 14 years, Heathcotes has developed numerous regional services, creating local jobs and supporting the local economy.
“We believe that Chesterfield has a huge amount to offer as a regional centre for business, leisure, retail and high quality education, including one of the largest colleges in England. Joining the Chesterfield Champions network is a direct statement of belief about our commitment to Chesterfield and its successful future. We are looking forward to working with residents and other businesses to promote the town.”
