Sunderland AFC raise the tempo with new Apple Music partnership
Sunderland AFC have announced a new partnership with a global music streaming service.
The deal will make Apple Music the club’s exclusive music streaming partner, enabling supporters to get closer to the Black Cats by accessing playlists personally curated by the players.
The first, available both on Apple Music and Sunderland’s club website, features tracks selected by players Luke O’Nien, Jon McLaughlin and Jack Baldwin.
Another playlist, the ‘Sounds of the SoL’, is updated before each home game and features all the tracks played at the Stadium of Light on matchday.
Tony Davison, managing director of Sunderland AFC, said in a statement: “It’s fantastic for us to be partnering with such an iconic, global brand and we are delighted to welcome Apple Music to our Sunderland family.
“Music is such an integral part of the whole match day experience and now our supporters will be able to download both our matchday playlists and tracks chosen specially by the players, so they can feel part of it, even if they aren’t at the game.”
