Newcastle PR and communications agency bags fresh clients for 2019
Newcastle’s O Communications has announced a string of new retail client wins.
One of the UK’s biggest retail businesses, intu, has appointed O to handle its PR accounts for both of the region’s shopping centres intu Metrocentre and intu Eldon Square.
In the independent retail sector, Boldon-headquartered menswear firm Master Debonair sought O’s PR knowledge to build its brand awareness regionally and nationally.
The fashion business now employs 25 people across its North East signature store, private showroom and distribution centre. Since starting its campaign, O has helped Master Debonair establish its first London store and bolster its e-commerce operation.
Owner and managing director at O, Kari Owers, said: “intu not only has a huge presence in the North East but is one of the most recognised shopping centre networks in the UK so securing it as a long-term client is great news for us.
“At the other end of the spectrum, Master Debonair is a shining example of an emerging, homegrown retail brand making waves in the industry.
“We’ve kicked off a national influencer relations campaign for them by leveraging stylish celebrity ambassadors with a large social media following.”
Meanwhile, Fenwick Newcastle reappointed its longstanding PR partner in O to deliver its 2018 Christmas experience, including its popular Christmas window reveal.
O also handled media and influencer relations for the much-awaited launch of Trinny London beauty concession at Fenwick in December, where TV’s Trinny Woodall made a personal appearance.
Sinéad Archetti Scott, head of communications, PR and Customer at Fenwick, added: “O has been a pleasure to work with - as well as being enthusiastic and true Fenwick brand ambassadors, they understand our brand and what we are aiming to achieve and go over and above to get the job done, making it a great partnership.”
