Luxury furniture brand HouzLux moves into Wilmslow
Luxury independent furniture brand HouzLux has opened a new showroom at Orbit Developments’ Kings Court property on Water Lane in Wilmslow.
The brand was founded by interior designer Maria Dolan who has over 25 years’ experience in creating beautifully-designed, made-to-measure pieces of furniture and has now chosen the affluent Cheshire town to showcase her work.
The 916 sq ft showroom features sofas, chairs, footstools and dining room sets with specially-commissioned and sourced accessories, providing inspiration to customers, clients and other designers with high end interior projects on the go.
“Individuality is at the heart of HouzLux,” Maria said, “we work alongside leading interior designers and pride ourselves on providing a totally unique upholstery service.”
Every piece of furniture is built and hand-finished at her factory in Nantwich on a 2-4 week turnaround with ‘white glove’ delivery to clients.
Maria is no stranger to high profile commissions having just completed one for one of the UK’s best known luxury furniture brands Clive Christian. She has also managed a number of bespoke design projects for owners of commercial office suites, investment properties and even yachts.
She continues to enjoy a long-established relationship with Gawsworth Hall where she has been handling a range of historical projects using sympathetic restoration and upholstery techniques for many years.
Maria added that Orbit had made her very welcome in Wilmslow. “They have already done a lot more than just provide space. They have been proactive on social media supporting the business and connecting us with their amazing network which is important as we look to get established in this area. I am looking forward to an exciting journey ahead.”
