PASKETT PR CELEBRATES 10 YEARS AT FRIAR GATE STUDIOS
Gardening and horticultural public relations specialists Paskett PR is celebrating its tenth anniversary at Friar Gate Studios, the managed workspace scheme for the creative industries.
The firm, which was founded in 1976 by Graham Paskett, relocated to Friar Gate Studios in 2008 from 50/51 Friar Gate – a space dubbed the ‘most haunted offices’ in England by one TV programme.
Paskett PR became specialists in the gardening world due to Graham’s personal love of gardening and the environment. This passion and knowledge helped position the firm as one of the UK’s leading specialists in this sector.
Over the years, the firm has expanded to cover lifestyle and retail sectors and now also handles campaigns for a number of regional shopping centres too.
The company’s activities range from press campaigns and content creation to brand building, reputation management, event organisation and media coverage.
In February 2016, Graham and his team released the first issue of their monthly guide ‘The Trowel’ - designed to provide updates on clients, products and gardening events alongside seasonal gardening tips.
The firm boasts an impressive client base and has worked with many high profile clients over the years including Wilkinson Sword, Town and Country, The Posh Shed Company and Briggs & Stratton.
Commenting on the company’s 10th anniversary at Friar Gate Studios, Graham said:
“It’s been fantastic to be based in a building that promotes such creativity and innovation. The flexible nature of the space, along with the high-speed broadband and connectivity here has been a real plus.
“Ann Bhatti and the Connect Derby team have given us invaluable support over the years, allowing Paskett PR to grow and diversify into the tremendously successful business it is today.”
Ann Bhatti, head of Connect Derby, added:
“Congratulations to Graham and his team for becoming one of just a handful of businesses to celebrate the milestone of 10 years at Friar Gate Studios.
“We’re proud that a business with such a tremendous reputation decided to set up home at Friar Gate Studios and are really pleased to see how they have thrived here.”
Paskett PR has been recognised as one of the best firms in its sector, with a number of awards and accolades. In 2017 the firm were finalists in the Consumer Relations Campaign category at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ Midlands Pride Awards for its Memory Tree campaign at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
In September 2017 it was named winners of the Marketing Campaign of the Year category at The East Midlands Chamber’s Derbyshire Business Awards.
