International paint supplier chooses Hull for latest site move

Industrial Paint Supplies (Hull) Ltd, part of the New Guard Coatings Group, has opened its new premises following major growth in sales over recent years.

This growth has meant that IPS has outgrown its current premises on Lincoln Street, Hull.

The first day of trading at the new Hedon Road, Hull site was yesterday (February 4). The move coincides with increasing Industrial Paint Supplies (Hull) Ltd stock holding by more than five times, to 8,000 sq ft.

The new site will include state-of-the art training and presentation facilities, these will allow technical and training courses to be hosted at the address. To support clients, four tinting machines will be sited at the address delivering the exact products that their clients want, when they want them.

Calum Doig, operations director for New Guard Coatings Group, said: “This is an exciting time for New Guard Coatings Group with our expansion plan now in full swing.

“We’ve been at our current premises on Lincoln Street for a number of years now, which in all honesty, we have truly out-grown. The move to Hedon Road could not have come at a better time.”

The Hedon Road site allows IPS to support the needs of its clients which are often very specific and bespoke. This is an important move for the whole New Guard Coatings Group as they focus on being a ‘much more than just a sale’ group.

Mr Doig added: “With the additional floor space to increase our already impressive stock holding capabilities, the relocation creates a fantastic opportunity for both IPS and the whole of the New Guard Coatings Group as we continue to set the standard in the distribution of protective coatings industry.”
