Red Lion in Wolverhampton receives six-figure revamp
Pub-goers in Wednesfield are in for a treat this February as the warm and welcoming Red Lion reopens following a £200,000 transformation.
The revamp makes the Red Lion the perfect place to socialise with friends and family whatever the occasion or time of year. A new area has been created, featuring big screens that will delight fans of any sport. The pub is also set to be a true hub for the local community, offering retro board games every Monday evening, quiz nights on Tuesdays and a disco night every Friday to end the working week on a high.
Offering a welcoming and relaxed environment to spend time with friends and loved-ones, the pub will provide a range of well-priced food and drink and a selection of hand pulled ales and craft beers – including Goose Island IPA and Meantime Pale Ale. An extensive range of gins is also available alongside a selection of cocktails. The food menu has been reviewed and includes pub classics, burgers and kid’s meals, as well as a selection of veggie and vegan specials such as cauliflower dhansak curry and Thai lentil pie.
There will also be a host of special weekly offers. Discounted big plates on Monday to catch the football game; burger and a choice of drink on Tuesdays; Pie and a pint on Wednesdays; a grilled dish and drink on Thursdays; any classic dish and a drink on Fridays; a selection of pick ‘n’ mix sharing dishes on Saturdays; and the best Sunday roasts to finish the week.
General Manager Hannah Page said: “We are thrilled to relaunch the Red Lion to the people of Wednesfield. The considerable investment means that the new interior looks amazing and we have great plans to deliver a fantastic customer experience and make a positive difference to the local community. We have a broad selection of well-priced food and drink, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone in to enjoy what we have created.”
