Castleford site acquired by Leeds-based commercial developer
Leeds-based Eshton has acquired a 1.5-acre development site in Castleford, West Yorkshire.
The land, fronting Park Road near Junction 32 of the M62, has B8 trade planning permission for a 13,000 sq ft scheme.
But commercial developer Eshton said the site could be suitable for a range of projects, with uses in the vicinity including roadside and motor-related.
The deal was completed for an undisclosed sum. It is the latest in a series of West Yorkshire property acquisitions for Eshton, which has recently snapped up sites in Stourton, Shipley and Normanton.
Eshton director Richard Tovey said: “Castleford is a desirable location, and with growing demand for quality sites and commercial floor space along the M62 corridor, Park Road is a good addition to our development portfolio.
“We can tailor our plans around occupiers needs and will consider both leasehold and freehold deals.”
JLL’s Leeds office is tasked with promoting and marketing the proposed development.
