MBE awarded to Olive Strachan for her contribution to Exports and Professional Business Services

The Queen’s Birthday Honours List recognises the achievements of a wide range of extraordinary people across the UK, amongst those honoured are a variety of women who are at the forefront of their professions.

In 2018, Olive Strachan was awarded the MBE for her Services to Exports in the Professional Business and on February 7th, Olive was proud to receive her MBE medal from HRH, The Prince of Wales, at Buckingham Palace, London.

Olive Strachan, Entrepreneur, Global business woman, and Founder of Olive Strachan Resources, established her own Learning and Development Consultancy in 1998. Olive is 1 of 392 who have been honoured in the Queen’s Birthday honours list.

Having worked as a Management Development Specialist and an International Learning Development Consultant for 21 years, Olive is delighted to be recognised to receive the award for notable contributions in Professional Business. As a UKTI Northern Powerhouse Export Champion, Olive has worked in over 25 countries, as an Executive Coach, Consultant, and Trainer helping and supporting organisations to develop leaders to achieve their full potential.

Olive commented, “I am honoured to receive an MBE for helping others. I am passionate about developing and supporting businesses and their teams by helping them to grow both professionally and personally. I love what I do and to receive this accolade is truly humbling. I feel very proud”

Olive has also contributed to and undertaken many voluntary roles, including committee representative for the Leeward Islands Peoples Association in Manchester and mentor for young entrepreneur’s start-up business on the NatWest Entrepreneurial Spark programme. She has also been highly commended by the CIPD for her role as the Chair of Manchester Branch before becoming a CIPD Council Representative, a role she has cherished and was very proud to undertake.
