Darlington businesses hook-up to further growth
Stone Technical Services (STS) has celebrated its twentieth year in business by investing over £20,000 in a new website as it continues with its further expansion.
STS is one of the longest-established businesses of its kind with specialists in restoration and conservation, lightning protection and general maintenance and facilities management.
The company has been working with fellow Darlington-based business, Geo-net Solutions, on the new site which showcases STS’s variety of projects- large and small- for clients such as the National Trust, English Heritage, St Paul’s Cathedral, Mitchells and Butlers and local authorities across the UK.
In addition, the website is home to STS’s range of industry accreditations which are some of the best in their sector and include critical safety qualifications such as SafeContractor and Constructionline, as well as industry body memberships such as the Stonehealth Rosette Scheme, ATLAS membership and members of the Stone Federation and the Federation of Master Builders.
MD of STS, Dave Stone, said: “We chose to work with Geo-net Solutions as they offered a sound business plan for this significant investment. Ours isn’t the easiest of businesses to grasp but I think they have showcased our wide range of services and experience perfectly and given us an online presence which illustrates exactly what we are about, how we work and what we offer.
“It’s always important to us that wherever possible we use local companies for our business development as we work towards further growth whilst supporting our local business community, especially as we celebrate our twentieth year in business.”
Jonny Overfield, creative director at Geo-net Solutions, said: “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at Stone Technical Services to create their new website. We are big believers in working with like-minded, forward-thinking organisations, who are keen to think outside of the box to ensure their web presence really stands out from the crowd and leaves a lasting impression on its visitors.”
STS this year celebrates its 20th anniversary. Darlington brothers, Dave and Grahame Stone, established Stone Technical Services in 1998 and now have offices in Edinburgh city centre, and in central London as well as their HQ on Kellaw Road in Darlington.
The company has also recently completed projects with Handpicked Hotels, Nostell Priory, Jarrow Town Hall, Sunderland Empire, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Hall.
