Florida sandwich brand creates 10 jobs with first UK venue in West London
A sandwich brand headquartered in Florida has arrived in the UK.
Six-figure funding from HSBC enabled entrepreneur Omar Al-Magribi to create 10 jobs with the launch of a Jon Smith Subs shop in West London.
Omar used the finance facility to renovate and fit out a unit in Hammersmith, acquiring and installing kitchen equipment and decorating the store’s interiors.
Franchise owner Omar intends to open a second Jon Smith Subs site in the near future.
He said: “We were incredibly excited to have opened the first John Smith Subs in the UK and the response to our London restaurant has been overwhelming.
“Its instant success has meant we’re already planning our second restaurant, which we hope to open soon in Bournemouth where my family is based.”
HSBC UK’s area director for West London, Richard Gimblett, commented: “We are delighted to have supported Jon Smith Sub’s first franchise in the UK.
“The business has been incredibly successful so far and we look forward to seeing it flourish.”
