Local Man Braves the Shave Raising over £1K for Charity
Local man, Mark Strong has taken part in a campaign to shave off his hair for Cancer Research UK, raising over £1000 for the much-loved charity.
Recently Mark’s father had undergone cancer treatment, so to show his support for his Dad and people living with cancer, Mark took part in the campaign which saw him shave off his hair, raising over a whopping £1000 for the charity.
Mark explained “I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated money towards this campaign. Cancer Research UK is a wonderful charity helping so many people across the UK, it was my pleasure to take part and raise money to support the charity’s hard work and dedication.”
Established in 2002, Cancer Research UK is a cancer research and awareness charity, aiming to reduce the number of deaths from cancer and supporting people living with cancer across the UK.
Mark is still receiving donations, so to show your support you can sponsor him by visiting the Real Stone and Tile showroom at Unit 4B of the Stanley Green Trading Estate in Cheadle or visit Kingfisher Health Club in Houldsworth.
