Creative communications agency reveals brand new HQ at Old Brewery Court
Newcastle-based agency, O Communications has completed a huge refurbishment at its new headquarters in Old Brewery Court, Sandyford.
The creative communications agency, whose client list includes Flymo, intu and British Masters, bought the circa 4,000 sq ft Georgian office building Richmond House in February 2018 to provide room for its expansion plans.
The ground floor, once four separate rooms, now features an open-plan coffee bar reception, co-working area and a meeting space that can be used for workshops, seminars and networking events hosted by the O team.
Kari Owers, managing director of O, said: “We’ve seen a significant amount of growth in our client portfolio over recent years, expanding PR services into digital content and social media so we needed a bigger space to accommodate our growing team.
“We wanted to create an agency environment that would continue to inspire our staff to feel free to breakout from their desks and be creative, as well as encourage clients to come in and work from our hotdesk if they wish.
“We are also planning some really exciting events for 2019, including our popular Ocademy marketing trends workshops, so now we have the perfect space for them.”
The historic Sandyford stone and brick building was built in 1831 and was once part of a brewery, with three floors including a basement.
The first floor now hosts O’s large client services department, a collaborative working zone and dedicated studio space for the creative content team.
Kari added: “The building has fantastic character which we have worked hard to preserve, but we have added our own touch of quirky styling which reflects our personality whilst keeping it open and bright to facilitate a modern way of working.”
