Gisborough Hall clinches top award to put the region on the global map
Gisborough Hall has been singled out as one of the best hotels in the world by a global leader in hotel booking sites.
The 4 hotel has won a Guest Review Award, which recognises properties for their exceptional hospitality based on average visitor scores. Gisborough averaged 9/10 – one of the highest available.
Gisborough Hall was one of the only hotels in North Yorkshire and Teesside to receive the accolade.
Ruairidh Taylor, hotel manager, said: “This is another fantastic piece of recognition for our team’s incredibly hard work, day after day, guest after guest.
“It also keeps us and the region top of the list on a prominent, global travel website.”
At the end of last year Gisborough Hall received ‘High Commended’ in the White Rose Awards’ Large Hotel of the Year category. The awards are the biggest hospitality awards in the country - organised by Welcome to Yorkshire- and this year’s awards received a record number of entries.
Gisborough Hall became a fully-independent and self-managed hotel in April 2017 and employs over 100 local people across the hotel, in its restaurants, bars and Revival Zone.
A recent AA inspection rated Gisborough Hall as one of the top destinations in the North East and North Yorkshire, retaining its AA’s four ‘Silver Star’ rating for its overall quality. The silver stars mark Gisborough Hall as being of superior quality and are one of the highest hotel accolades available in the UK.
The luxury, four-star hotel, on the outskirts of Guisborough, was named as one of TripAdvisor’s top-rated places to stay last summer, gaining another Certificate of Excellence for its exemplary standards and service.
In addition, Gisborough Hall is also one of TripAdvisor’s ‘Green Leader’ award holders in recognition of its commitment to environmentally-friendly practices.
