Anthony elected as chair of CIPR North West
The leading industry body for PR professionals in Manchester has appointed a new chair of its regional committee.
Anthony Bullick, managing director of PR agency Outwrite, will head up the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ (CIPR) North West committee, after being voted in as chair at the group’s extraordinary general meeting.
His responsibilities include leading the CIPR North West’s team of volunteers to support the PR community with events, training and professional development. He will also represent the region at quarterly chair meetings in London.
The appointment comes after he served as both treasurer and vice chair on the committee, which also covers Cheshire, Liverpool, North Wales, Cumbria and Lancashire.
And Anthony, a chartered PR practitioner, is planning to help members feel the full potential of their CIPR membership during his tenure.
He said: “My main focus as chair is ‘value’. I want everyone connected to the CIPR in the North West to feel they receive value from our activity in the region.
“I’m also keen to ensure all of our committee members, who support the CIPR voluntarily, are spending their time efficiently and effectively.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a group of people passionate about the PR industry, and I’m looking forward to working with the team on our 2019 plans.”
A member of the CIPR North West committee for four years, Anthony has previously helped the group run events as well as coordinate its social media channels.
He also regularly gives talks to promote the PR industry, having presented to students at the University of Chester, Bangor University, and Manchester Metropolitan University.
Outwrite’s clients include Bromborough-based LBW Chartered Accountants, UK-wide engineering, environmental, and planning consultancy Caulmert, Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK, and foodservice buying group Fairway Foodservice.
