Vail Williams planning expert in top 50 Women of Influence in planning.
Planning adviser, Suzanne Holloway, has been nominated one of the top Women of Influence in planning for 2019 by leading industry magazine, The Planner.
The Royal Town Planning Institute’s monthly magazine published the results to coincide with International Women’s Day (8 March), paying tribute to the women making an impact in the planning industry.
Nominated by her peers, Suzanne, who works for Gatwick-based property advisers, Vail Williams, is amongst just 50 women who The Planner deems to be the most influential in planning - not just for their significant influence on national planning policy, but because they have inspired those who work with them too.
David Ramsay, head of planning at Vail Williams, commented: “We’d like to congratulate Suzanne on this tremendous achievement which is testament to her hard work and commitment – both in her role at Vail Williams, but also as a member of various business groups impacting the regeneration of the wider Gatwick Diamond region.”
After two decades in local government, Suzanne joined the Gatwick office of Vail Williams in 2016.
Her nomination recognises her role in the regeneration of the Manor Royal Business District, both as a local authority planner as well as with Vail Williams, and as a member of various key business and stakeholder groups.
Speaking of the achievement, she said: “I feel so privileged to be part of this list of amazing women, and to have the support of such a great company with fantastic colleagues beside me. I am very grateful to my colleague, Aine Bourke, for her nomination and I’m proud to have helped her recently achieve her MRTPI.”
Suzanne was also praised for her ongoing support to her colleagues and her mentoring role with universities, where she supports young planners taking their first steps in the profession.
