Merseyside developer praised for regeneration efforts

A leading Merseyside property development company has been praised for its regeneration work by Mayor of Liverpool, Joe Anderson.

Legacie Developments, which is responsible for some of the city’s most high-profile construction sites including at Ropemaker Place in Renshaw Street, has delivered a number of mixed-use developments — boosting Liverpool’s urban regeneration reputation.

The company recently announced plans for a major residential development of the edge of the city’s Baltic Triangle and a four-star hotel in Duke Street, on the site of a current car park.

Legacie, which has won plaudits for its sensitive restoration projects as well as new building initiatives, was given a nod of approval by the city’s mayor.

Mayor Joe Anderson OBE said:

“Legacie Developments has a proven track record of delivering sensitive regeneration schemes. The company is an example of how a private company can assist the City Council in providing decent housing to meet Liverpool’s growing population, while it brings new life to parts of Liverpool which have been left forgotten for far too long.”

Legacie Developments founder, John Morley, added:

“It’s great to have the backing of such a senior politician. We are on-site delivering major schemes which will hopefully help unlock the city’s economic potential as well as meet the demand for high quality accommodation.”
