Newcastle accountancy firm celebrates continuous growth with new premises
Local accountancy firm, Leathers has moved into a bigger Newcastle office accommodation to help keep pace with its continuing expansion.
Leathers reportedly saw strong growth throughout 2018, which has seen it win a number of new key clients.
The firm has also continuously recruited, and has opened a new office in Harrogate as a focal point for its growing client base across Yorkshire, to add to its long-established presence in Newcastle and Durham.
Michael Leather, managing partner of the business, said the office move is a strategic move and statement of Leathers’ intent.
He said: “As one of the leading accountants in the North, we feel our new base in Newcastle is befitting of our profile and status.
“2 Collingwood Street is a premium address and offers an outstanding environment for both our staff and our clients - its location near to Central Station is also very important, given the national and international nature of our business.”
Now, as its growth continues into 2019 and beyond, Leathers has relocated its flagship Newcastle office from Cale Cross House into sought-after office space at 2 Collingwood Street, close to the city’s Central Station.
The business is based over two floors of the exclusive address, and at 2,800 sq ft, it offers the space to accommodate its ongoing expansion and planned future additions to the team.
The new Collingwood Street premises will also house Leathers Corporate Finance, the recently-founded specialist corporate finance business run by leading dealmakers Abu Ali and Phil Williams.
Michael concluded: “While maintaining the strong and trusting relationships we have enjoyed with many of our clients and their families for years, often across generations, we have seen significant levels of growth in the recent past, which has seen us win a number of major new clients regionally, nationally and across the world.
“This, in turn, has led to us appointing some new key people to the Leathers team, and this recruitment will continue.
“These are very exciting times for Leathers and our team, and we look forward to even further levels of growth and success in our new home.”
