Newcastle United partners with IT firm to deliver digital solutions

razorblue has entered an executive club partnership with Newcastle United.

The business’ logo is broadcast to 50,000 supporters each matchday at St James’ Park, as well as to national TV audiences.

This association with the Football Club enables razorblue to connect with the Tyneside region through sport, as well as providing opportunities for the company to network with like-minded local businesses.

Offering IT services and consultancy for businesses, combined with being an internet service provider, razorblue was started by CEO Dan Kitchen in 2006 and has since expanded into an 80-person team.

Marketing manager, Debbie Rocket explained why the business were keen to become involved in sport, saying: “Our passion is providing the best IT solutions for businesses and we want to work with as many people as possible. Getting exposure at things like football games are a great way of helping us do that.

“With many of our clients being football fans, and being an effective part of the community, becoming associated with the Football Clubs was something that was of interest because it gives us brand presence and provides accreditation for razorblue.”

razorblue has also grown geographically from its North Yorkshire base, with an office operating out of Wynyard, plus other offices in Leeds, London, with recent expansion into Manchester.

The Newcastle United Executive Club stems from a partnership between Eleven Sports Media and the Football Club.

Debbie Rocket concluded: “Even if people haven’t heard of razorblue before, if they see us at the football match it’s quite a good way for us to be associated with such a well-known and respected sport.

“It gives us the ability to take clients to matches; offers opportunities for our team members to go along too; and to become involved in the local community through the sport.”
