Regenda Homes sponsors City of Liverpool FC u19s ahead of Dallas Cup adventure

A Liverpool based housing association is extending its support of a local non-league side as its youth team get set to take part in a prestigious competition in America.

City of Liverpool FC u19s will follow in the footsteps of Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen when they step onto the pitch to take part in the 2019 Dallas Cup.

The young side, competing in the tournament for the first time, will wear shirts featuring the logo of social housing provider, Regenda Homes. The sponsorship has provided much needed financial support for the team who must cover its own travel costs.

Regenda Homes is also the main sponsor of City of Liverpool FC’s first team, and has adorned the front of the club’s shirts since its inaugural season three years ago. Since the start of the long-standing partnership, staff from the two organisations have tirelessly worked together to support several community and fundraising initiatives during the season, including local foodbanks, domestic abuse charity - Centre 56 - and national mental health awareness charity, Chasing the Stigma.

Paul Manning, COLFC Chairman, said: “We are all very excited by having a team representing our club at the World-Famous Dallas Cup tournament, which is “invitation only” and we wish all the lads the very best of luck.

“As usual Regenda Homes has been only too happy to help with the costs involved. Each player has to cover their own travel costs and some of the lads simply couldn’t afford to go without financial support. Regenda Homes has contributed towards that and ensured the full squad was able to travel.”

Kevin Short, Merseyside Neighbourhoods Team Leader, said: “Regenda Homes is proud to be City of Liverpool under 19s’ shirt sponsors for the prestigious Dallas Cup. Our successful partnership with City of Liverpool FC is now in its third year and we’re delighted we can continue to support young people from Merseyside.”
