Workspace goes for growth with 25 new starters this quarter
FIT-out contractors Workspace Design & Build(D&B) has added 25 employees to its team this year, bringing its head count to 50.
This follows on the heels of the announcement last week that the award-winning contractor has launched a Birmingham base which will be headed-up by Lee Mather, Shaun Smith and Richard Barsby who all join the team from Paragon Interiors Group.
As well as growing existing teams with the addition of site managers, contracts managers, quantity surveyors and site operatives, new roles have been created in line with growth of the business and developing industry needs.
New roles include interior designer Marta Bartor-Purska, Health and Safety manager Cerisa Bond and Head of Marketing and PR Lauren Roberts.
Managing Director of Workspace Design & Build Russell Davis said: “Over the past few years, Workspace Design & Build has not only seen incredible financial and organisational growth, but the team has continued to expand in all areas of the business.
“This rapid growth has massively increased our business capability and allowed us to take on more projects concurrently, as well as offer new services to our client base.
“Already this year we have added 25 people added to our headcount - and it’s only April.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for everyone here at Workspace Design & Build and we are gearing up for further growth throughout the rest of the year. Last year was a record year in terms of the increase in head count, and we’ve broken that already in 2019.”
Workspace Design & Build works with clients such as, Schroders Real Estate, LJ Real Estate, Bruntwood, Investream and etc. urban. Their projects span both the residential and commercial sector across the UK.
They have also recently won a number of new clients such as JLL, Aviva, Mace and Avison Young.
Russell added: “There are so many exciting projects coming up in 2019 and we can’t wait to share this prosperous time with all our employees - existing, new and future.
“We want all our employees to share in our success and so have recently introduced a minimum wage of £9 per hour for all our site operatives.
“We hope this shows our commitment to investing in our workforce and will hopefully help us attract the best workers to our team.”
