Cheshire employee named Manufacturers’ Alliance ‘Member of the Year’
A North West man has been named ‘Member of the Year’ for the Cheshire group of the Manufacturers’ Alliance.
Macclesfield resident, Ian Tait, has been part of the Manufacturers’ Alliance Cheshire group since its inception in 2018 and received the award at the group’s recent annual retreat. The award recognises the contribution of a particular member across a 12-month period and is voted for by each member of the group.
Ian, who currently works as Systems and Distribution Manager for Europe’s leading logistics equipment provider, Palletower, said: “I’m really proud to be named Member of the Year for the Cheshire group, especially as my contribution has been recognised by my peers. Being part of the Manufacturers’ Alliance has been extremely beneficial, the advice I’ve received has been invaluable and I’ve been impressed by the honesty and openness of the group.”
Having worked at Palletower for 11 years, Ian originally joined as a Commercial Coordinator in 2007. During that time, he has served as Logistics Manager before making the move to Systems and Distribution Manager.
Palletower Managing Director, Matthew Palmer, said: “We’re extremely proud of Ian’s achievement and its testament to his hard work over the years. It’s important to Palletower to support the manufacturing industry in Cheshire and we can only benefit from sharing ideas and opinions with other industry leaders in the area.”
The Manufacturers’ Alliance is made up of leaders from the manufacturing industry in Cheshire and is designed to support the growth of SME businesses by connecting like-minded individuals to share ideas and best practice methods.
