Eggciting donation by Tesco Express
A series of charity Easter events has had a chocolate boost from two local supermarkets.
Tesco Express in Monkseaton and Kenton have donated 120 hollow eggs to Northumberland Wildlife Trust for its Easter prize draw at Northumberlandia in Cramlington.
From Friday 19 April (Good Friday) - Monday 22 April (Easter Monday), between 10:00am - 3.00pm, nature lovers can call in and say “hello” to the Lady of the North, follow the Easter trail around the site answering questions along the way, before collecting a prize at the end.
The eggs were collected by Northumberland Wildlife Trust Volunteer and self- confessed chocolate lover Jordan Spurling who said: “As a charity the Trust relies on donations so, just as I give up a couple of hours each week to help out, I am delighted that Tesco has kindly donated the eggs which will make the prize draw really eggciting to enter.
“As a chocoholic, I was more than happy to give up a few hours to collect them… and managed not to eat any.”
