New £60,000 gin bar opens in Allesley near Coventry
A new gin tasting experience, Vault 52, has opened as part of the newly renovated cellars of the Best Western Plus Windmill Village Hotel, Golf Club & Spa in Allesley. The £60,000 investment has seen the hotel change unused storage facilities into a gin bar complete with gin master.
The original house, part of the hotel complex, dates back to 1640 and the cellar makes the perfect location for a lesson in gin history as well as enjoying a tipple. The unique experience allows guests to take a voyage through the world of gin – from its ruinous past to modern-day revival. The bar will offer an enviable selection of gins, including its very own V52 blend of gin, made by The Northumberland Spirit Company, served with a story in a beautiful setting.
Heather Thornton, Director of Sales and Marketing, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of Vault 52, our brand-new gin experience and bar within the hotel. The renovation of the cellars has been a really exciting project and, together with our gin master who is on site to tell you the stories behind our gins, we can’t wait to welcome guests.”
Vault 52 is the latest investment to the property, which has 105 bedrooms, 8 meeting rooms - including the Windmill Suite complete with chandeliers and a view across the18-hole parkland golf course, a 20-metre pool, steam, sauna and an extensive fitness suite.
