Adtrak Announces Sponsorship of Young Creative Awards

Nottingham-based digital marketing agency, Adtrak, have announced their co-sponsorship of the Creative Writing Award at this year’s Young Creative Awards (YCA) Nottingham, alongside Nottingham Library Service.

The annual competition, now in its 11th year, shines a spotlight on all forms of creativity with 11 categories covering everything from Film, Design and Architecture to Dance, Fashion and Textiles. The competition was open to entrants from 7th January until the 1st April and received hundreds of entries from young people aged between 13 to 24 across the city.

Over the next month the entrants will be divided into three age groups with a winner picked for each group, before an overall winner is announced at an awards ceremony planned to take place at the Nottingham playhouse on 21st May 2019. All entrants are invited to attend and the winner in each category will receive a cash prize, plus mentoring and other great opportunities.

A group of expert judges from a wide range of Nottingham-based organisations, including Nottingham City of Literature, Dance 4, Confetti, Maber Architects, Nonsuch Theatre, Nottingham College and Nottingham Trent University, will be meeting to choose the winners for each age group and category, and put forward their recommendations for the overall Young Creative of the Year award.

Having recently launched Adtrak Creative, a new arm to the business that focuses on providing ‘brand-first’ creative outputs, including creative campaigns, branding and design, photography and video, to clients across Nottinghamshire - Adtrak are keen to get involved in the local creative landscape.

Sarah Shaw, Creative Services Manager at Adtrak, is heading up the relationship with YCA.

She said: “Supporting creativity in the City is so relevant to us - entrants may be future employees or current members of our team.

Elaine Dykes, Service Manager Literacy and Reading at Nottingham Library Service: “Nottingham Library service are delighted to co-sponsor this Award with Adtrak. It is so important that young people have their voices heard through the creative use and enjoyment of language. These are the authors of the future and we welcome the opportunity to develop their confidence and ambitions.”
