North East England Chamber of Commerce reveals partnership with local energy specialist
The North East England Chamber of Commerce has announced a new alliance with business energy benchmarking specialist troo.
The partnership will see Newcastle-based troo become the preferred energy supplier to the Chamber’s 3,000 members in the region.
David Langley, chief operating officer at the Chamber, said: “We see this alliance with troo as something that will really add value to our members, as well as helping us attract new members as a result.
“Troo can save our members time, hassle and money on their energy bills so that they are free to perform where they are really needed in their business.
“The Chamber is really excited about the future with troo and seeing how they can be a real benefit to our members.”
Just under 40 per cent of businesses in the UK reportedly don’t shop around for the best deals when their gas or electricity contracts are due for renewal, meaning many firms are paying over the odds.
troo passes on the full saving to clients and instead receive a one-off set fee from the energy suppliers.
Troo’s chief executive officer, Andrew Richardson, added: “We are providing members with an all-encompassing energy service, with transparency at the core of how we work.
“Uniquely, we disclose the one-off set fee we receive from the supplier to every client who places their business through us.
“We also seek to simplify and de-mystify energy for clients, ensuring it’s easy to make an informed decision. Transparency brings trust and we see troo as a trusted partner to the Chamber and its members.
“This partnership makes perfect sense as the Chamber and troo have a very similar ethos when it comes to supporting and working with businesses - and it’s the Chamber members who will benefit in the long run.”
