Chamber International gives fresh hope to exporters with new partnership with moneycorp

Overseas trade specialists, Chamber International, have announced a new partnership with global currency experts, moneycorp, to provide better financial support to businesses trading overseas.

The partnership will see Chamber International join forces with the foreign exchange and international payments company. The move will bring Chamber International clients a range of benefits including greater protection against volatile currency fluctuations and competitive foreign exchange rates.

The new partnership is among a series announced by Chamber International to support and encourage businesses to trade overseas as the UK prepares to leave the European Union.

The announcement follows the recent opening of regional offices for moneycorp in Coventry, Leeds and Edinburgh, a direct response to provide businesses outside of London with specialist guidance to help with an increasingly global market.

Chamber International director, Tim Bailey, says: “With Brexit looming, the UK needs more businesses to get involved with international trade as part of becoming an independent global trading nation.

“To achieve this, international business needs to be as manageable as possible but, too often, overseas trade aspirations are stifled by expensive international payments, currency fluctuations and a lack of timely guidance.

“Our new generation of ChamberInt FX launched with moneycorp will give our clients many benefits including no transaction charges, competitive exchange rates and access to over 120 currencies.”

Lee McDarby, Managing Director of Corporate Foreign Exchange and International Payments at moneycorp, said “We are thrilled to be partnering with Chamber International, faced with an ever changing market, now is the time for UK businesses of all sizes to explore overseas trade.

Currency markets are volatile and unpredictable, so it is vital that businesses take a proactive approach to their currency strategy; those who are not prepared are likely to be putting their business at risk. We look forward to sharing our expertise with Chamber International and its many clients.“

Chamber International helps hundreds of new and experienced exporters throughout the UK with a wide range of specialist services to make exporting easier and more cost effective.

Headquartered in London, moneycorp offers foreign exchange and global payment services to individual and corporate customers. In 2018 moneycorp traded £35.5bn worth of currencies and handled millions of transactions.
