Brighouse polythene packaging firm expands business with second site in Cheshire
Brighouse’s Initial Packaging Solutions Ltd has expanded into a second site at Towngate PLC’s Business Centre on Everite Road in Widnes.
The fast-growing firm specialises in the supply of tamper evident security packaging, and its products are used by various clients including banks, cash in transit companies and examination boards.
The company required an additional property to facilitate increased stock holding, following a recent expansion of the business.
Now, Initial has signed a three-year lease with Towngate PLC for the 16,900 sq ft space, opposite its main manufacturing facility.
Finance director of Initial, Lee Childs, commented: “Having spent several years searching for suitable properties in the local area, we are delighted to have secured this unit with Towngate PLC, which will give us the space we need to continue growing our business.”
In addition, the site benefits from a manned 24-hour security gatehouse and barrier system, along with a pre-fitted CCTV system, providing excellent on-site security.
Tom Lamb, property manager at Towngate PLC, added: “We are pleased to have secured the letting of Unit 6B to Initial Packaging.
“The space fits their needs perfectly and I am happy to report that the properties at the Towngate Business Centre, Widnes are now almost fully let.
“We have one remaining unit - a 76,000 sq ft warehouse - and we don’t expect it to be long until we have secured the final lease.”
Towngate PLC was represented by Darren Hill of CBRE.
