Morrisons extends same-day delivery service with Amazon
Morrisons and Amazon are set to expand their same-day delivery service.
This will be put in place for groceries being delivered to Newcastle, Sheffield, Liverpool, Portsmouth and Glasgow.
In 2016, Morrisons signed a deal to supply Amazon with such groceries, with the service now including one-hour delivery for certain customers.
Natalie Berg, an analyst at NBK Retail, addressed the news: “Deliverywars are on! As a customer, I think Prime Now is still pretty clunky but getting groceries delivered in a couple of hours is definitely game changer.”
The same-day shopping service is currently available to customers in Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester, with many more cities to be added in a few years.
