Duo of appointments marks further growth for team
Two new recruits have been welcomed on board at creative digital agency, The Bigger Boat.
Stepping into the respective roles of web developer and account manager are John Bell and Grace Lenihan, following a strong period of growth for the Mirfield-based business – whose high-profile clients include Baby Born and Baby Annabell.
John grew up fixing computers and enjoyed creating websites, before taking on a role as a database administrator at a marketing company in Elland. Having expanded his web development and coding skills even further, he joined The Bigger Boat, and now works on projects with international children’s toy brand Little Tikes.
After a 12-month internship with global sportswear giants, adidas, as its brand activation graduate – then a marketing and communications position with Huddersfield Giants Community Trust – newest recruit Grace has been using her project management experience to support Little Tikes and Yorkshire manufacturer, Deuren.
Commenting on the post, Grace said: “It certainly feels like an exciting time to join The Bigger Boat. The company has clearly made great strides and I am ready for the challenge ahead, and looking forward to playing a part in the future of the business.
“I’m keen to continue my personal development and I couldn’t think of a better way than putting myself right in the middle of this bunch of incredibly talented people. The team’s enthusiasm is infectious, I’m really enjoying being in such a creative environment.”
Andy McCaul, co-founder and account director at The Bigger Boat, added: “John and Grace are fantastic additions. Such high-level appointments underline just how much the business has grown – and continues to – alongside our ever-increasing client base.
They’ve all already got stuck into their roles and are proving to be supportive and creative influences for the rest of the team, and our customers.“
The Bigger Boat, based in West Yorkshire’s Wheatley Park, celebrated its ninth anniversary earlier this year.
