Ansvar offers Sussex charities a chance to win big
Specialist charity insurer Ansvar has announced that it will award a total of £15,000 to charities based in Sussex. Five awards of £3,000 are up for grabs as the company celebrates 60 years of insuring charities, churches and voluntary groups in the UK.
Entries are open until 31 July and all registered charities in Sussex are invited to apply. Ansvar’s judges are particularly keen to receive entries that provide a detailed outline of how the money would be spent.
Ansvar’s Deputy Managing Director Martyn Fletcher commented: “We’re delighted to launch our search for five Sussex charities, each to benefit from £3,000. It’s the perfect way to celebrate our big anniversary - 60 years of Ansvar in the UK!
“We’ve been insuring the charitable organisations at the heart of the community since 1959 and we’re really proud of our legacy. A lot has changed since then, yet charities are still an integral part of our society.
“Giving back to the community is an important part of what we do, so we’re really looking forward to hearing from a wide breadth of charities and learning how they could benefit from this funding boost. We strongly urge any eligible charities in need of funding to submit an application.”
With a staggering 98% of households in the UK reported to have used at least one charitable service , Ansvar’s specialist field of insurance is crucial to underpinning the essential work carried out by charities every day, from providing healthcare to tackling food waste.
Charities have until the end of July to apply. Entrants are urged to consider the specific uses their organisation would have for the funding as well as the aims and objectives it could help them meet. The only barriers to entry are that they must be both a registered charity and based in Sussex.
