TNT Economy Express service gets faster for European customers

One-day transit times introduced for selected destinations FedEx Express customers to benefit from improved transit times

FedEx Express and TNT today announce that TNT’s road service, TNT Economy Express, has been given a boost with the expansion of one-day transit times for parcel shipments to selected destinations across Europe.

Businesses that depend on TNT Economy Express to ship quickly and cost-effectively across Europe will benefit from the accelerated transit time on more than 1,300 network connections, covering over 200,000 postal codes across 17 countries, and opening up new opportunities for customers to reach key destinations faster.

“In an increasingly competitive trading landscape, businesses are looking to their shipping providers to offer speed, coverage and reliability to help them stay ahead,” said Bert Nappier, President of FedEx Express Europe and CEO of TNT. “The enhancement of TNT Economy Express gives that opportunity to both TNT and FedEx Express customers across Europe as the integration delivers the power of our unique combined service portfolio.”

TNT Economy Express allows customers to ship parcels of up to 70kg with delivery on a specific day. Customers can utilize TNT Economy Express service for import as well as export. It is part of a broader portfolio that includes solutions such as TNT Express, which offers time-definite delivery by a specific time.

Customers using the FedEx Express Intra-European Economy service will also benefit from these service improvements, enabled by the integration of the FedEx-TNT road networks.

Through integration with TNT, FedEx Express has significantly increased its presence in the European market. TNT’s road network operates 55,000 weekly road trips, across more than 540 depots and 45 countries in Europe.
