Boost for Bristol mental health services as Vita Health Group is chosen to improve care
Vita Health Group, a leading UK provider of mental health solutions, is set to provide high quality care in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, following a competitive process.
The group, which already works with local organisations The Bluebell Care Trust and Windmill Hill City Farm, which operate in the area, is set to launch a professional programme which includes high quality care for those tackling depression.
Vita Health Group is accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists and The British Psychological Society, and currently holds the NHS IAPT contract for Basildon and Brentwood CCG, as well as providing talking therapies services on behalf of a number of other NHS organisations.
Medical director Martin Jones, from the CCG, stated that the Vita Health Group has, “An excellent track record of delivering accredited psychological therapies in other parts of the country”. Derrick Farrell, CEO, Vita Health Group said, “Tackling mental health is a huge challenge for many people across the country and our professional standards, services and expertise will ensure local people get the right care, in the right place at the right time.”
