mac-group quadruples its Midlands office
A fast-growing construction company has quadrupled the size of its West Midlands offices as it looks to grow its operations in the region.
mac-group has expanded its construction and interiors division into offices next door to its existing property in Station Road, Solihull, after growing the business from seven staff, when it first opened an office in the region in 2017, to 60.
Newly appointed staff include planners and site managers, as well as construction and management degree apprentices, after the company secured significant multi-million pound construction and refurbishment contracts in the Midlands and beyond, taking its turnover to £60m, out of a group turnover of £250m, for 2019.
The new Midlands HQ, which takes the company’s office space to 4,300 sq ft, has been fitted out by mac-group interior fit out specialists and comprises office space, break-out areas and meeting rooms.
Paul McKenna, Group CEO of the mac-group, which is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, said: “Since we launched our West Midlands office, we’ve gone from strength to strength, with our reputation for delivering first-class buildings, fit outs and refurbishments enabling us to get involved with several high-quality projects.
“As a result, the company has enjoyed a sustained period of solid growth in the Midlands, with the resulting increase in our head count and the need to expand our office. The mac-group owes its success to finding a service for its customers, rather than trying to find customers for its service. We are continually seeking ways to do more, better, and our commitment to quality and design is borne out by our high-quality, new office space in Solihull.”
Among the projects mac-group is working on are: a 60,000 sq ft refurbishment and new-build extension at Unilever, Burton on Trent, worth £13m; a £5 million 27,000 sq ft retail development and 18,000 sq ft gym in Sheldon for Chase Midland Estates Ltd, and the £4.5 million One Blythe Gate office refurbishment for IM Properties.
