Consultancy reaches new heights with charity challenge

Imagile Professionals Services Ltd (IPSL) completed the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks, raising over £7,000 for The British Heart Foundation

A team of fundraisers from a Daresbury-based business have raised more than £7,000 for The British Heart Foundation after scaling the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

The group of 36 staff from independent asset management consultancy, Imagile Professional Services Limited and Imagile Group came together to walk over 24 miles, reaching heights of over 2,000ft to complete the gruelling climb.

Alongside their colleagues at Imagile Group Limited, IPSL employees took on the challenge and conquered three of the largest mountains across Yorkshire; Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours.

The latest challenge for the firm, which has offices in Warrington, Bristol, London, Cheltenham and Glasgow, brings the running total of charity fundraising to more than £27,000, alongside Imagile Group, in the past two years.

Kate Shaw, event organiser said:“ The Yorkshire Three Peaks was an extremely tough challenge for the whole team, but we all put in the training and I’m very pleased to say that everyone completed it and had a great time.

“We were very lucky with the weather on the day and the spectacular views at the top of each peak made it all worthwhile.

“The British Heart Foundation is a charity that means a lot to our employees, with a number of the team having seen first-hand the devastating impact heart disease can have. We are incredibly proud of our fundraising total and would like to thank everyone who took the time to donate.”

Carolyn Reynolds, A Fundraising Manager at The British Heart Foundation, added: “We’d like to thank everyone who took part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and raised such a fantastic amount of money for The British Heart Foundation.

“We rely on generous donations to continue the essential research we do into prevention, treatment and cure for heart and circulatory disease”

The British Heart Foundation fund more than £100million-worth of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the potential causes. Heart and circulatory diseases are one of the world’s biggest killers, affecting 1 in 4 people in the UK.
