USA chicken and waffle restaurant chain is coming to Oxford Circus this autumn
US-based Chicken and waffle restaurant Sweet Chick is opening its first UK restaurant in Oxford Circus later this year.
Founded in Brooklyn by restaurateur John Seymour in 2013 - and backed by rapper Nas - Sweet Chick currently serves its take on modern American food across five locations in New York and LA.
Commenting on the deal, Leo Feldman, partner at Shelley Sandzer, said: “We’re hugely excited to have secured Sweet Chick’s first restaurant outside the US.
“[Its] site in Market Place is perfectly located right in the centre of London - an ideal spot for this New York brand making its international debut.”
John added: “I can’t wait to bring the Sweet Chick community to the UK. The food scene is massive in London, but we hope we can offer something fresh with our take on southern inspired staples and the best fried chicken and waffles this side of the Atlantic.”
