Gorenje Appoints New Senior National Account Manager
Slovenian-based home electronics manufacturer, Gorenje, has announced a new senior appointment after the company was acquired by multinational major appliance and electronics manufacturer Hisense in 2018.
Lisa Davidson has joined the Gorenje team in their new Leeds headquarters as Senior National Account Manager. Lisa’s previous experience includes four years at domestic appliance manufacturer Miele, where she worked as a National Account Manager and brings a wealth of experience in selling premium white goods to major UK retailers.
Lisa joins the company at an exciting time, following the recent acquisition by Chinese brand Hisense. With a prestigious 68-year history, Gorenje is a recognised and well-respected household brand across Europe, with a wide range of innovative, market-leading technologies and features across cooling, cooking, laundry and dishwashing.
Speaking of her appointment, Lisa said: “I am thrilled to join the Gorenje team and I am looking forward to growing and developing the Gorenje brand and working in close partnership with national retailers across the UK. I am working closely with the team to develop a brand, range and channel strategy that will grow Gorenje sales and increase brand awareness amongst consumers.
“I’m excited to work with the Gorenje teams to bring the brand to the fore on the UK market and share this with our key partners. I believe that there is a gap in the appliance market for premium, design and feature-led brands and I’m confident that Gorenje will continue to develop and grow into a major player in the UK appliance market.”
Howard Grindrod, Vice President at Hisense & Gorenje UK, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Lisa to the team. She has a wealth of expertise in the UK white goods marketplace. We look forward to building the Gorenje brand in the UK and using Hisense’s global experience and R&D resource to innovate and continue to provide consumers with products they can trust.”
