Youngsters from Bournemouth Poppies Under 15s celebrate extra support from Barratt Homes
Barratt Homes is throwing its support behind Bournemouth Poppies, by sponsoring its U15 age group.
The housebuilder is creating new homes at its nearby Canford Paddock development, and is keen to forge relationships within the local community.
“It is important to us that we get to know those living and working in areas where we are opening new developments - and that includes providing sponsorship and support for local clubs and schools,” said Barratt sales director, Michelle Storer.
“We are delighted to be forming a close partnership with Bournemouth Poppies. The work the club does for grass roots football, and for local youngsters is of tremendous benefit.”
Last season saw the team playing in the Bournemouth Youth Football League with success winning both the league and the cup. The team also reached the final eight in the Hampshire Cup.
Ian Kelly from the team said: “This is a wonderful gesture from Barratt. Our young players will wear their shirts with pride, and I know having a sponsor will give them added confidence. They are already loving their football, and it’s great to have support from such a well-known brand.”
