Health insurer in new partnership to simplify online bookings for doctor appointments
VitalityHealth has partnered with online review and booking platform Doctify.
VitalityHealth is the first health insurer to partner with Doctify. It is using its platform to develop ‘Vitality Specialist Finder powered by Doctify’, a website allowing members to search for doctors by speciality, rating and location.
Patients will also be able to book appointments on the site 24 hours a day as well as publicly rate and review the doctors - said to be a UK first.
The new service is currently being rolled out to members, and will fully launch with direct member access to clinicians later this year.
Dr Ali Hasan, clinical operations director of VitalityHealth, said: “We’re delighted to be the first health insurer to partner with Doctify. Doctify are great partners for us.
“Founded by two doctors, they impressed us by how close their vision in this space was to ours - tech to empower patients to help them find the right care for them, first time, quickly, and reassuringly.
“We know that finding the right consultant can sometimes be very confusing for members. Our range of options - our clinician and healthcare panels, our specialist finder, and our healthcare associates - help make the journey much easier for our members.”
Brian Walters, principal of Cheltenham-based medical insurance brokers Regency Health, added: “This is an excellent development that will empower VitalityHealth’s members to make more informed choices about their healthcare.
“The Doctify service, with its patient reviews and online booking facility, is a perfect fit for VitalityHealth, which continues to refine its proposition in order to remain at the vanguard of the private medical insurance market.”
