Phoenix Hospital Group announces acquisition of Baddow Hospital

Phoenix Hospital Group (PHG), one of the UK’s leading independent healthcare providers based in Central London is announcing its acquisition of Baddow Hospital in Chelmsford to add to its growing portfolio of state-of the-art medical centres including Weymouth Street Hospital, 9 Harley Street and 25 Harley Street.

The acquisition will allow PHG’s successful model of high quality, patient centric care to be available for the first time outside of London with PHG intending to work collegiately with Consultants in Essex to offer patients the very highest standards of private healthcare in exceptional surroundings.

The Baddow Hospital, which will in future be known as Phoenix Hospital Chelmsford, is an elective surgery hospital which undertakes and has established a strong presence in many of the same specialties carried out at PHG’s London elective hospital, Weymouth Street Hospital. It has an excellent reputation and loyal Consultant base in a range of services including cosmetic surgery, gynaecology, urology, general surgery, ear nose and throat, foot and ankle surgery and pain management. As well as fully equipped operating theatres (including one with laminar flow), day case rooms and overnight beds, it has five consulting rooms and a number of treatment suites.

PHG specialises in short stay elective surgery and has built an exemplary reputation and loyal following amongst patients and Consultants for the quality of its care. Following the acquisition, patients in Essex will be able to access the comprehensive surgical, diagnostic and outpatient services on offer across the Phoenix Hospital Group.
