Appointment adds up to success for accountants
A Middlesbrough-based accountancy firm is setting its sights on growth with the support of a recently-appointed consultant.
Chuhan & Singh chartered accountants, which was founded in Teesside in 1970, has brought renowned businessman Gary Lumby on board to advise on a variety of elements within the company, including growth, strategic development and HR.
Director Tony Blueitt said: “Our business has grown organically since its inception by concentrating on providing a high quality, personal service to all clients.
“Our aim is to grow the business by 20 per cent within the next 12 months, and Gary’s appointment is part of our journey to achieving this.”
Gary, who has known the firm for many years, said: “I have always been impressed by the size and diversity of Chuhan & Singh’s client base, as well as the hands-on approach of the partners who often go above and beyond what is expected of an accountant.
“With my wide experience of working with SMEs across all sectors throughout the UK, I could see that I could help the firm accelerate its already excellent growth by ensuring they are managing and investing in people, as well as using technological resources to their best advantage.”
Gursharan Singh, director of Chuhan & Singh, said: “We’re looking forward to working with Gary to share thoughts and experiences as well as business ideas to improve the overall quality of the business.”
