The Buzz Rooms shortlisted for national award

A boutique viewing facility at Salford Quays is in the running for a national accolade.

Sarah Butler founded The Buzz Rooms in 2017 as a venue for hosting focus groups to test new products and services for global brands and businesses.

It is used by market researchers and insight teams across the UK, Europe and the United States on behalf of clients involved in sectors including fashion, retail, food and drink, media, transport, travel, leisure, healthcare and financial services.

The Buzz Rooms has been named as a finalist in the best viewing facility category at the Market Research Society Operations Awards, which will be presented at a ceremony in Shoreditch, London, on Thursday, September 26.

Sarah established The Buzz Rooms as part of a £400,000 investment in the Clippers Quay headquarters of Infinity Asset Management, of which she is a co-founder and partner.

Last year, The Buzz Rooms was admitted as a member of the Viewing Facilities Association, a trade group which promotes best practice in the sector.

The facility has a clients’ viewing room with a large one-way mirror through which they can observe the focus group in an adjoining room. The respondents’ room has video and audio recording equipment and live streaming technology so their discussions can be viewed remotely.

The Buzz Rooms also has a kitchen as well as breakout areas and meeting rooms for interviews, workshops, company away days, training and brainstorming sessions.
