The Swim Specialist, which has experienced rapid growth in the last year, will join 93 other finalists in the North West region, at an awards ceremony in Manchester on 15th October 2019.
The awards, which are now in their seventh year, champion entrepreneurs of all sizes and sectors. Winners at the regional awards will have the opportunity to attend the national final, which will take place in London on 21st November 2019.
Founded by young entrepreneur, Nathaniel Birkett, 30, The Swim Specialist has grown membership numbers by 67% in the last twelve months and taught more than 1700 people to swim since opening its doors in June 2016.
Designed for all ages and abilities, The Swim Specialist takes an innovative approach to learning to swim, improving stroke technique through the use of games, themes and challenges tailored to the individual.
Commenting on the shortlisting, founder of The Swim Specialist, Nathaniel Birkett said:
“We are absolutely overwhelmed with the award shortlisting and could not be prouder of our achievements. This means a lot to our growing business we’re very excited to meet and network with other finalists at the awards ceremony.”
Revealing the finalists, founder of the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards, Francesca James, said:
“With the changes to the format of the Awards, 2019 was always going to be an exciting year for us. But looking at the shortlist, I can safely say this is our strongest year yet. We have such a diverse range of businesses in terms of size and industry, and the calibre really is quite incredible.
“I wish each and every single finalist the very best of luck, and look forward to welcoming them to the regional finals.”
