Online jeweller in Newcastle celebrates £1m turnover following one year of trade
Online jewellery store Ruby & Oscar has revealed a record year of trade as it marks its first birthday this month with a £1m turnover.
The North East-based company, which specialises in handcrafted gemstone jewellery, saw profit increase within its first month of trade due to a ‘strong’ online presence and a growing team.
Launched in August 2018, Ruby & Oscar has quickly established itself as a leading online jewellery retailer offering high quality designs with a focus on lab created gemstones.
Ruby & Oscar ships to over 20 countries worldwide, and is aiming to see continued growth as it moves into its second year.
In just over a year, the brand has appointed six new members of staff within its marketing, creative design and customer service departments.
Managing director, Matt Silversides, said: “We are extremely proud of Ruby & Oscar’s continued growth. Celebrating our first birthday marks a fantastic achievement for the brand and our team.
“Each of our new and existing team members are experts in their own field, whether that be within the creative or technical disciplines.
“This has allowed us to unlock the potential of the brand and move Ruby & Oscar forward as we look ahead to another successful year of trade.”
