Cybersecurity Firm Strengthens Sale Sharks’ Defence
Premiership Rugby team Sale Sharks today signed a sponsorship deal with global cybersecurity firm, Secarma, for the upcoming 2019/20 season.
The security specialists, with offices in the US along with Manchester, London and Scotland, provide security services and advice helping businesses prevent and protect against the damage of cyber‐attacks and data breaches.
Joining the Sharks’ corporate family for the 2019/20 season, Secarma is accompanied by its partner business, UKFast, in becoming a key sponsor for the Premiership Rugby team’s new kit.
Owned by businessman and rugby fanatic Lawrence Jones MBE, who has a longstanding relationship with Sale Sharks, both Secarma and UKFast have confirmed their ongoing commitment to the club ahead of the forthcoming season.
The brand-new home, away and European kits for the 2019/20 season, which are officially launching on Friday, will feature the Secarma logo, marking the beginning of the exciting new partnership.
Secarma owner Lawrence Jones said: “It’s important to understand the synergies that bring various groups together when building businesses. There’s no better platform for gathering so many business owners, entrepreneurs and business professionals together than at the impressive stage of Premiership Rugby.
“Our partnership with Sale Sharks stretches back to the times when Cueto was coming to work for the Sharks in short trousers. Over the years I have built lifelong friendships both personally and with businesses who have become some of UKFast’s biggest clients. Secarma will benefit massively from the network we have created with the Sharks and other sponsors over the past two decades.”
Mark Cueto, Commercial Director at Sale Sharks, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Secarma to the corporate family at Sale Sharks and believe they’ll be a fantastic addition to our network.
“With cybercrime growing at an alarming rate, we are all aware of the need for support in this area, whatever type of business you run.
“We have a brilliant relationship with Lawrence and the teams from UKFast and Secarma, and consider these partnerships to be an asset to our club.
“With the 2019/20 season approaching and the launch of the new kit just days away, it’s a brilliant time for the club to celebrate working alongside another one of Manchester’s leading tech businesses. We’re excited to see where this partnership will lead.”
