Baldwins bolsters its corporate finance offering with senior appointment
A market-leading North East accountancy and business advisory firm has bolstered its Corporate Finance offering with a senior appointment.
Matt Waters has joined Baldwins, a CogitalGroup company, as the thriving business’ new Corporate Finance Manager and will be based in the firm’s Wynyard office.
With 16 years of experience in the finance sector and spending the last four years working in Corporate Finance, Matt has gained wide-ranging deal making experience.
In his most recent role as a Merger and Acquisition Manager in London, Matt helped complete over 20 transactions.
“I am thrilled to be working in the team to drive our Corporate Finance offering forward and helping to grow the brand for the group,” he said.
“As Corporate Finance Manager I will be responsible for advising clients on mergers, acquisitions and disposals, including strategic planning for succession and business growth. I’m also keen to help identify and generate new projects from both internal and external referrals.
“There is a real drive for us to grow our North East Corporate Finance practice and I’m delighted to join the team to be part of what I’m sure will be a successful period of growth.”
With an enviable client base, established relationships with introducers and the backing of an exceptional national and international Corporate Finance offering, the North East Corporate Finance team are predicting the coming year will be one of the busiest and most successful.
Working closely with the firm’s North East Corporate Finance Director, Graham Cornforth, Matt is now looking forward to bringing this experience and enthusiasm to the Baldwins team.
Graham said: “Matt is well known in the professional community and the experience he has gained from his time in industry gave me confidence that he could add significant value to the team.
“We’re looking forward to another exciting year and it’s great to see the North East team expand.”
Matt said: “I’m very much looking forward to working with Graham, a vastly experienced and proven deal-maker - there is so much I can learn from him.”
